Basketball is a team oriented sport that requires athletes to work together as one while they pursue their individual and team based goals. It promotes life skills such as: teamwork, communication, commitment, work ethic, motivation, determination, and competitive drive.

The Coaching Staff hold the girls to a very high standard and except nothing but the best from them in classroom and on the court. We have many dual sport athletes, and have positive relationships with all sports programs.

The LHS Lady Tigers play in district 14-AA and region 7-AA, which is considered one of the toughest regions in the state. They work year round to be successful by working on individual skills and/or competing on AAU teams during the summer time.

Student are allowed to sign up during Celebration Day. Tryout dates will be sent out to elementary schools and on social media.

Activities:

• Team tryouts are in May

• Conditioning starts in May after tryouts

• The team will be involved in fundraisers throughout the season

• Summer camps during the month of June followed by practices in July

• Season begins in November

• The District Tournament starts in February

• The State Tournament starts in March

How much does is cost?

$30.00 for camp fees. Please do not let that deter you from trying out. If there will be any problems feel free to contact Coach Bowman to work something out.
