DESCRIPTION
Our purpose is to create a cooperative spirit among all spirit groups, athletes, students, administration and the community, aid the students and game officials in the promotion of good sportsmanship, develop responsibilities, teach self-respect, encourage honest effort, strive for perfection and develop character.

ACTIVITIES
SHHS cheerleaders cheer for all Varsity Football and Varsity Basketball (Lady Lions & Lions) games. We lead our school in spirit at pep rallies or school events. We perform community service and fundraising projects with citizens of Scotts Hill and Henderson County.

HOW YOU CAN JOIN

• Tryouts are held in the spring of each year

• To be eligible you must be in grades 9-12 in the upcoming school year, have and maintain a 3.0 GPA, complete all
  information in the tryout packet and return to Ms. Sandy by the deadline marked on the packet forms

• Tryouts for the 2020-2021 Cheer season will be held April 16th-18th

• Tryout clinics will be from 3:15-5:00 on April 16th and April 17th Tryouts will be held on Saturday April 18th in the
  gymnasium beginning at 10:00 am.

• Cheerleading packets need to be returned by the deadline in order to be allowed to tryout.

COST
The cost for cheerleading is ESTIMATED to be between $1000-$1200. Cheerleaders will have mandatory fundraisers to help with the cost. The number of fundraisers is determined by the coach. Each girl is responsible to pay for any remaining balances they have. Items will not be given out unless they are paid for in full… NO EXCEPTIONS!
