Chicken Plate Sale Time Again - Help the 7th & 8th graders by purchasing a Chicken Plate. $10 for complete meal (Chicken, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Dessert and Drink). Pick Up date is April 5th from 11am - 1pm at BGS Gym.
8th grade is rounding out their unit on Natural Selection by discussing Genetic Drift in Population numbers. Students utilized the randomization of dice to simulate the way genetics drift through populations. High level discussions paired with high level learning equals high quality students!!

During the Heredity Units, 7th graders are learning about alleles, genotypes and phenotypes. Today, they participated in the Monster Mashup by creating individual monsters based on the flip of a coin. Tomorrow...punnet square. Hands on learning is the BEST!!

Our JV and Varsity Lady Rebels got the win against Westover last night. Our JV top server was Lily Vargas with 5 Aces, Addison Wood with 4 Aces and Lily Baron with 3 Aces.
Our Varsity top server was Miya Hart with 5 Aces, Kendall Atkins and Bryleigh Fullerton with 3 Aces each. Kendall Atkins had 6 kills, Rhianna Fields, Bryleigh Fullerton, and Miya Hart each had 2 kills. Miya Hart also came in with a good block against Westover.
We are so proud of both teams! Our next game is tonight at SouthSide. JV starts at 5:30pm.
Due to being out of school multiple days this quarter for snow and sickness, our 3rd Nine Weeks Reward Day will be postponed until the 4th Nine Weeks (May 9th). We want all of our students to have enough days to successfully meet the criteria in order to attend. We look forward to celebrating our BGS students and their hard work in reaching these goals!

HC Schools - Closure Announcement
Henderson County Schools will be closed on Friday, February 21st, due to hazardous road conditions in several rural areas of the district. Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing everyone on Monday. Enjoy your weekend!
HC Schools- Closure Announcement
The Henderson County School District will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, February 20th. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. We appreciate your understanding and hope everyone stays warm and safe.
Henderson County United Soccer Boys has rescheduled their game with Milan on February 20th. The game will now be played on Saturday, February 22nd @ 1 PM.
Due to the predicted snow accumulation and potential hazardous weather conditions, the school district will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19th. In order to keep students engaged during the closure, teachers will be sending home practice activities today. Please encourage your child to complete this practice created by their teachers. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, and we look forward to welcoming students back once it is safe to do so.

Henderson County North Golf tryouts have been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 25th at 3:30 pm. Tryouts will be held at Pine Tree Country Club.
