Congratulations to Mrs. Leeann Stanford for being named 5th- 8th grade Beaver Teacher of the Year.
I have been married to my loving husband, Jimmy, for 18 years. We have three children: Grayson, who is attending PA school; Mylee, who is a senior at LHS; and Jaxon, who is a 4th grader at Beaver. This is my 11th year teaching, and all of my years in education have been at Beaver School.
I have always wanted to be a teacher, and I was grateful for the opportunity to return to college while I was a stay-at-home mom. I graduated in 2014 with my degree in K–6 Elementary Education and passed the Middle School Praxis, so I could teach all subjects in 7th and 8th grade. I have always taught middle school. It is truly where my heart is. Not only do I get to help students learn, but I also get to be a positive role model for them during such important years. I love building lifelong relationships with all of my students.
Beaver is more than just a school to me—it is a family. I feel blessed to work alongside such supportive co-workers and staff. The love and encouragement I have received over the years have helped shape me into the teacher I am today, and I will always be grateful to be a part of Beaver Elementary School .
