2026-2027 Hornet Basketball Schedule

6th and 7th graders who met their 1st 9 week AR goal of 25 points enjoyed a hydration station🥤📖

To celebrate hitting our reading goals, these students unlocked the ultimate reward: an escape room adventure. They traded in their books for hidden keys, secret codes, and mind-bending puzzles!

Big Thank You to HTeaO for helping us reward all of our Sting Readers! I'm They received Hornet Punch for reaching their AR goals for the first 9 weeks.

4th grade students had their conduct reward day today! Unfortunately, the rain forced a change of plans, but luckily, Princess Theater had already hooked us up with the BEST popcorn around and Plan B was a hit!

🎶 Support the Beaver School Band! 🎶🍝 We're hosting a spaghetti dinner to support our Beaver School Band Program! Our deadline has been extended to October 13th, so there's still time to get your orders in! Come out and show your support for our talented band members. Every little bit helps our students make beautiful music! 💙🤍🐝�

4th grade had 13 students to receive a 100 in conduct this quarter and get rewarded with Sonic drinks!! Congratulations to Lincoln Beecham, Aliyah Chavis (not pictured), Jerry Davis, Reed Gourley, Horatio Harrison, Mason Jenkins, Lemmy Morris, Gerald Scott, Nicholas Vesga, Liam Wilkerson (not pictured), Allie Garcia-Torres, Elijah Gray, and Skylann Pearson.  4th grade also had 1 student, Luke Hale, to earn 50 AR points and get a Sonic drink.

🕳️🍑Digging Deep into Holes🍑🕳️ Mrs. Bailey’s 6th & 7th graders have spent time digging into the novel Holes by Louis Sachar! 📚 Throughout our novel study, students explored characterization, symbolism, plot elements, and figurative language while following Stanley Yelnats and uncovering the connections between the past and present at Camp Green Lake. After finishing the novel, we celebrated by watching the movie and comparing it to the story we had read. 🎬 Of course, no trip to Camp Green Lake would be complete without a taste of our own peach cobbler and “Sploosh” (aka peach jam)! 🍑🥧 It was a fun way to wrap up a great 1st quarter—and thankfully, no one had to dig any holes to earn their dessert! 😉⛏️
