Henderson County Schools’ outdoor classrooms are welcoming some exciting new residents! Our STEM class pets, Miss Sable, the crested gecko, and Mr. Slytherin, the rosy boa, are ready to help students turn curiosity into hands-on learning. 🔬🌱
Through these unique learning experiences, students will have opportunities to:
🦎 Observe animal adaptations and behaviors
🌎 Explore habitats and local ecosystems
🐍 Learn about scales, shedding, and life cycles
🤲 Practice gentle, responsible animal care
💡 Build curiosity through real-world experiences
There’s nothing quite like learning science with a little help from our scaly friends! We’re excited to see the questions, discoveries, and connections these class pets inspire.
