KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION🚌
Pre-registration for Kindergarten in the Henderson County School District will be Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Bargerton, Beaver, Pin Oak, Scotts Hill, South Haven, South Side and Westover Elementary Schools. All children who will be five (5) years old on or before August 15, 2025 are eligible to register for Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year.
Requested documents to bring to your school on March 13, 2025:
● Proof of age such as Birth Certificate, other medical documents
● Social Security Card
● Proof of Immunizations on a Tennessee Certificate of Immunization form from the Health Department or a Physician’s office
● Copy of Physical Examination (within 1 calendar year)
● Two (2) Proofs of County Residence-E911 address (ex. electric bill, water bill, etc.)

Voluntary PreK (VPK) is an income-based program and priority will be given to those families that qualify. Completing the Henderson County PreK application packet does not guarantee enrollment in the PreK program. Non-income eligible students are placed on a waiting list once all paperwork is complete. Per the VPK grant guidelines, non-income eligible students will be notified mid-September informing them of their waitlist status.
Sometimes you just need a sweet treat!! We are testing out the cotton candy machine for our students on Friday!! Our teachers say it's safe to eat!! Thankful for our SWEET teachers & staff.

HC Schools - Closure Announcement
Henderson County Schools will be closed on Friday, February 21st, due to hazardous road conditions in several rural areas of the district. Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing everyone on Monday. Enjoy your weekend!

The Henderson County School District will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, February 20th. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. We appreciate your understanding and hope everyone stays warm and safe.
South Golf Tryouts!!! This Monday at TN River Golf Club
HCS BASEBALL GAME RESCHEDULED.
Henderson County United Soccer Boys has rescheduled their game with Milan on February 20th. The game will now be played on Saturday, February 22nd @ 1 PM.
Due to the predicted snow accumulation and potential hazardous weather conditions, the school district will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19th. In order to keep students engaged during the closure, teachers will be sending home practice activities today. Please encourage your child to complete this practice created by their teachers. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, and we look forward to welcoming students back once it is safe to do so.

Henderson County North Golf tryouts have been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 25th at 3:30 pm. Tryouts will be held at Pine Tree Country Club.
HC Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19th. Beginning at 5:00 p.m. today, all after school activities will be cancelled.
