band
Every morning at 7:45, the sounds of a growing band waft out the door of the band room into the hallway at Scotts Hill Elementary School. For those that are paying attention each day, the songs that are being practiced are being perfected and being made ready for the spring concert. The Band Director, Jordan Ashby, took a next step this week by bringing high school band students over to mentor our younger students. On Thursday, the high school band students sat in and played music, and were blown away by the development of our fifth through eighth graders as they compared where they were at that stage in their own development. This is further evidence that the band program is growing and developing in a way that leads to award-winning high school performances in the future. The administration at Scotts Hill Elementary School would like to thank those high school students for coming back and giving back to our elementary school program. The foundation is strong!
