capsule

Scotts Hill School is preparing for a once-in-a-lifetime moment as a time capsule, sealed by students and staff in 1975, will be opened later today during the town’s Bicentennial Appreciation Days celebration.

The capsule, which has remained untouched for nearly 50 years, is expected to contain items that reflect school life and the world as it was in the mid-1970s. Following the unveiling, the contents will be placed on display throughout the weekend, giving the community the opportunity to explore this unique piece of history.

The time capsule opening is one of many highlights planned for Appreciation Days, an event that brings together the community and visitors to celebrate the town’s history and traditions.

The Scotts Hill community is invited to join the celebration, view the time capsule display, and take part in a weekend full of activities honoring both the past and present of the school.
