Students at Scotts Hill Elementary School had a special learning opportunity today as members of the Henderson County Fire Department and Lexington Utilities visited with 2nd grade classes to share important information about safety and community service.
During the visit, students learned about fire safety, emergency response procedures, electrical safety, and the many ways first responders and utility workers help keep the community safe every day. The presenters engaged students with hands-on demonstrations, discussions, and opportunities to ask questions about the equipment and responsibilities involved in their jobs.
The visit provided students with a fun and educational experience while also helping them better understand the importance of safety awareness and community helpers. Scotts Hill Elementary School greatly appreciates the time and effort these community partners invested in making learning meaningful for our students.
