It was another busy and exciting week at Scotts Hill! South Middle School football picked up a close 28–26 win over Collinwood, and the team also celebrated 8th Grade Night during their game against Perry County. It was a special night honoring the 8th graders and all their hard work this season.
In the classroom, our kindergarten students wrapped up their 5 Senses unit with a fun apple activity. They got to put their senses to work while learning about apples in a hands-on way.
We also enjoyed connecting with families during Parent-Teacher Conferences. We appreciate our parents taking the time to meet with teachers and work together to support our students.
The STEM bus brought some extra excitement this week as 6th and 7th graders baked chocolate chip cookies in the car! With the help of the September Tennessee heat wave, students explored heat and energy transfer in a fun and delicious experiment.
And, of course, we wrapped up the week with a day off for Fair Day! We hope everyone enjoyed the break and had a great time at the fair.
