South Haven Elementary is celebrating a successful showing by both Junior Varsity basketball teams at this year’s county tournament.

The JV Boys team finished the tournament in fourth place, demonstrating steady improvement, teamwork, and determination throughout the season. Their effort and sportsmanship were a reflection of the hard work put in by both players and coaches.

The highlight of the tournament came from the JV Girls team, who earned a first-place finish and the county championship. This victory is especially meaningful, as it marks the first time South Haven’s JV Girls have won the county tournament in more than 40 years, with the last championship dating back to the 1981–1982 season.

This historic achievement is a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and teamwork shown by the players, as well as the leadership and preparation provided by their coaches. The team’s success reflects countless hours of practice, commitment, and support from families, staff, and the South Haven community.

South Haven Elementary extends congratulations to all JV players and coaches for a memorable season and thanks everyone who supported the teams throughout the year. The Hawk community is proud of these student-athletes and their accomplishments, both on and off the court.
