Kindergarten Camp Read 2026 Ms.Tiftonia's kindergarten had a camping themed day including reading under the clouds and stars, going on a bear hunt, having a picnic with hot dogs, chips, and capri suns, making smores and painting a campfire!

South Side was proudly represented today at the county spelling bee! Our students, Natalia Couples, Logan Wright, and Kinsley Tuberville, did a great job representing our school. We are proud of their hard work and courage to compete! 🐝💙

Report cards will be available for pick-up during this time window.

If you are unable to attend, you may send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your child no later than May 20th, and the report card will be mailed home.

🚌 Transportation Update:

Morning (A.M.) buses will run at their normal time
Afternoon (P.M.) buses will depart the school at 10:00 AM

Our Mystery Picture for Accelerated Reader this semester was a huge hit! This was our second one of the year, and the students absolutely loved it. They had so much fun adding stickers to the picture for each AR test they passed—what a great way to celebrate their hard work and progress. We’re so proud of their dedication to reading! 📚✨

7th grade had a great field trip to Donnell Farms!

Today our 8th grade students enjoyed participating in the 4-H On My Own program — a real-life financial simulation that gave students hands-on experience with budgeting, decision-making, and planning for the future. Thank you to everyone involved for helping make this valuable learning experience possible for our students!

Our 8th grade students had an amazing day on their field trip today! They enjoyed visiting Freed-Hardeman University and also had a fun experience at the alpaca farm in Jacks Creek. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special for our students! 🚌🎓🦙
