Beginning July 1, 2010, Tennessee Department of Health added two immunization requirements for all children entering 7th grade. Documentation of a dose of tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis (Tdap) vaccine and verification of varicella immunity through disease or two doses of varicella vaccine are now required to enroll in 7th grade. Proof of these immunizations must be given to your child's school on or before the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.
