Mr. Danny Beecham, Director of Schools, announces that Mrs. Stephanie Clark will serve as principal of Beaver Elementary School for the 2025–2026 school year.  This role will commence on July 1, 2025.  This past school year, she served as an administrator working alongside Mr. William Forney, who led the school as interim principal.

Mrs. Clark steps into this leadership role with great pride and humility. Beaver Elementary and the surrounding community have always held a special place in her heart. She is deeply honored to serve in a place she calls home and is looking forward to all the great things ahead for the school and its students.

Mrs. Clark brings 15 years of experience in education. While attending college, she began her career in education as a substitute teacher in both city and county schools. She also worked with the county Adult Education program, teaching and encouraging adult learners both in the classroom and within the local justice complex, emphasizing the value and power of education.

After graduating from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2011, Mrs. Clark began her teaching career at Pin Oak Elementary. Shortly thereafter, she joined the team at Beaver Elementary School, where she spent the next 10 years teaching a variety of middle school grade levels and subjects. During her time at Beaver, she was actively involved in coaching, mentoring, and sponsoring student clubs, and was warmly welcomed by a deeply committed group of educators.

In 2017, she earned her master’s degree in Educational Administration. In 2021, Mrs. Clark transitioned to Westover Elementary, where she had the opportunity to grow professionally alongside a strong team of educators and administrators. Most recently, she returned to Beaver Elementary as an administrator, gaining invaluable leadership experience under the guidance of Interim Principal Mr. William Forney. She also credits the central office staff, fellow administrators, and community stakeholders for their continued support and mentorship throughout her journey.

Mrs. Clark is married to Daniel Clark, and together they are blessed with a wonderful family. Affectionately known as “Lovie and Pa” to a few extra-special little ones, the Clarks are actively involved in their church and community—leading both local and international mission efforts, and sharing their love for children near and far.

As she begins this new chapter as principal, Mrs. Clark is committed to continuing Beaver Elementary’s strong tradition of excellence. She believes that our children are the future, and it is our shared responsibility to set high expectations and empower our teachers to lead by example. Her vision is to create a school environment where students are not only taught academic skills, but also equipped with the character and life skills they will need throughout their lives.

Mrs. Clark expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Beecham for his support and for entrusting her with this opportunity. She also extended thanks to the community, her family, and the entire Beaver Elementary staff for their support and encouragement over the past year. She is thrilled to continue serving this school and looks forward to making the 2025–2026 school year the best one yet!

Mr. Beecham looks forward to a great year at Beaver. He would like to thank Mr. Forney for his willingness to serve the district so ably as both interim principal at Beaver and principal at the new Henderson County Virtual School during the 24/25 school year.
