The Henderson County Board of Education hosted a Legislative Information Meeting this morning at the Board of Education office, welcoming State Representative Brock Martin, State Representative Kirk Haston, and State Senator Ed Jackson for an open and informative discussion.

The meeting provided an opportunity for board members, district leadership, and community members to hear directly from state legislators about current legislative topics impacting public education. Participants also shared local perspectives and priorities, reinforcing the importance of open communication between state leadership and local school systems.

Open dialogue such as this plays a critical role in strengthening partnerships and fostering collaboration, all with the shared goal of supporting student success across Henderson County Schools.

The meeting was open to the public and served strictly as an informational session. No action was taken by the Board of Education.

The Henderson County Board of Education extends its appreciation to Representatives Martin and Haston and Senator Jackson for taking the time to engage with the district and community. The Board also thanks Mr. Tate, the Board’s Legislative Liaison, for facilitating the discussion, as well as all community members who attended and continue to stay informed and involved in public education.
