Lexington, TN — January 25–31, 2026, has been designated School Board Appreciation Week in Tennessee.
Henderson County Schools is proud to join school districts across the state in recognizing and celebrating the Henderson County Board of Education for its dedicated service to our students, families, and community.
This year’s theme, “Local Leadership, Lasting Impact,” reflects the vital role school board members play in shaping the future of public education. Members of the Henderson County Board of Education champion student success, advocate for strong schools, and govern with the needs of the community at heart. As elected leaders, they serve as the local voice for public education and help guide the long-term vision and direction of Henderson County Schools.
“It takes strong leadership to build strong schools and a strong community,” said Superintendent Danny J. Beecham. “Our board members devote countless hours to ensuring every student has the opportunity to learn and succeed. Supporting student achievement is at the core of every decision they make.”
To fulfill this mission, the Henderson County Board of Education focuses on key priorities, including:
Establishing a clear vision with student achievement as the top priority;
Setting strategic direction to help all students reach their highest potential;
