These BGS students celebrated earning 25 AR points the 4th nine weeks with ice cream sundaes and Coke floats.


These students earned 75 AR points and celebrated with a McDonald’s lunch with the principal! We are so proud of them for working hard this school year and reaching this reading goal!!!





Lexington High School Boys Basketball Tryouts will be on May 22nd from 12:30-2pm.

We are so proud of our fabulous BGS cafeteria team! Bargerton Elementary School won the sanitation award with a 99&100 scores for the school year. The highest breakfast participation awards went to Beaver Elementary School with 97%, South Haven Elementary School with 86%, and Westover Elementary School with 78%. The highest lunch participation awards went to Westover Elementary School with 92%, Bargerton Elementary School with 84% and South Side Elementary School with 83%.





Congratulations to the 2024 Lady Rebels and Rebels basketball teams! Coach Joey will be meeting with you next week to hand out summer workout schedules.

Parents of upcoming 2024-2025 BGS Kindergartners,
Tomorrow, May 7 @ 5pm we will have our annual Countdown to Kindergarten event in our cafeteria. Your children will get to meet our amazing Kindergarten teachers and they fill you in on our BGS Kindergarten program. We can’t wait to see you! Please help us spread the word! It's Teacher Appreciation Week, & we are excited to celebrate our entire faculty and staff! These BGS students earned 100 AR points for the 23-24 school year. They celebrated with a movie field trip to watch Kung Fu Panda 4 at the Princess Theatre in Lexington. We are super proud of each of these students for working hard and achieving this goal!


Today we are celebrating these amazing school lunch heroes! Our lunch ladies serve up the most delicious eats and sweetest smiles each day for our students and staff. Our school could not function without you, and we love and appreciate all of you!

Our BGS students were SO excited to participate in the County-wide 8th Grade Career Fair on Thursday! They have been exploring careers & skills needed to be successful this year, and getting to talk with people already working in those fields was a great way to end the year!











Thank you to these two fearless leaders who brought FCA back to BGS! Tera Duke and our very own, Mrs. Laurel Fitzgerald, have held Thursday morning before school meetings with our 5th-8th graders who wanted to attend. It was a beautiful morning for fellowship and food outdoors!
