Thank you to everyone who has sold candy bars for our annual chocolate sale! All money is due on Monday, August 28, 2023. Opened boxes can not be returned. Each student/ family is responsible for $60 per box checked out. You still have one week to sell to businesses, family members, and friends! Thank you again!

Seventh grade did a volume and density lab today and they planted their underwear for the Soil Your Undies challenge.
Please make plans to attend our annual Title I, 3rd Grade Retention Law, and TCAP results meeting on Thursday., August 24 in the cafeteria. The meetings will begin at 5pm & everyone is welcome! All 3rd grade parents should attend the 5:30pm 3rd Grade Law Mtg.
In our continuous effort to increase literacy at Bargerton we welcome our Rebel Lending Library. This will be housed outside of the library in which students may pick up an additional book to the two they are allowed to circulate from the school library daily. As our Rebel Lending Library volume increases we can increase the number the students may take. We currently have a small number of books which are paperback and non library bound to start our library. If you would like to donate to our lending library there will be a tub inside our main foyer to drop off. Please, children's books only. Mrs. Mc will label these books appropriately for grade level, AR , and points. We ask students to treat these books as we would our library books and return them in a timely manner so all may enjoy them. On Monday, September 11th, Bargerton students will celebrate Grandparents’ Day. We're inviting all grandparents/grand friends to come and have lunch with their grandchildren. For more information, please be on the lookout for the note your student will bring home tomorrow. Please return by Friday, September 8th.

Henderson County Substitute Training is Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 8:30am until 11:30am at the Watson Center. BGS has a need for substitutes!

Dear Henderson County Schools Parent/Guardians:
Say “hello” to two-way messaging and classroom announcements in the Henderson County app! With the addition of Rooms, our district app keeps getting better.
Parents/guardians, check your email tonight for instructions to sign up and access new features. If you do not get an email by Tuesday morning, it will be largely due to your email address not being correct in the system. If this is the case for you, please kindly and patiently contact your child's school to ensure the school has the correct email address.
Once you have received the email and followed the instructions, you can log on through the Henderson County Schools App. The “Rooms” feature is a button in the bottom right corner of the phone screen. If not, please update your app. “Rooms” can also be accessed via the web at https://id.edurooms.com/. A direct link to this site will be conveniently located on the Henderson County Schools Website.
Your child can do the same as above but they will not receive an invitation email like the parents/guardians. They can now access “Rooms” through the app or their personal Chromebook via the web.
Remember, this is how all teachers, coaches, club sponsors, students, and parent/guardian communication will happen from this point forward. Therefore, it is critical that parents and students are logged into the “Rooms” portal and that notifications are turned on.
