Designing and conducting experiments that demonstrate the relationship of electromagnets is just one of several standards within the electrical unit. Students continued their hands-on learning from yesterday with magnetism to creating electromagnets out of a battery, copper wire, iron nail and paperclips. They discussed and problem solved ways to make the nail more magnetic and how to fix issues of why it wasn't be magnetic.

Bargerton Rebels showed out for pink day on Tuesday, August 27th.

Bargerton loves grandparents and grand-friends! We are excited to celebrate Grandparent's day with a special lunch on Tuesday, September 10th. Look for the form coming home today.

8th Graders are diving deep into the Electrical Unit with magnetic fields and electrical currents. Yesterday, students witnessed the magnetic fields while working with iron oxide and magnets. Today, students will make electromagnets as well.

This week, 7th Graders have been hard at work learning about classifying pure substances and mixtures as well as creating models of substances representing their states of matter (solid, liquid, gas). What a better way to learn than hands-on? We made Ice Cream in a Bag and discussed mixtures as well as liquid to solid change.
