Lexington High School held its annual Veterans Day Program on Tuesday, November 11, honoring the service and sacrifice of local veterans and active-duty military members. The event was hosted by the Renaissance Team and Air Force JROTC, who welcomed veterans from the community to the LHS gymnasium for a ceremony of gratitude and remembrance.

The program included the National Anthem performed by the Beta Show Choir, as well as a patriotic medley performed by the Pride of Lexington Band.

Renaissance Team Members let the audience in The Pledge of Allegiance and then recognized Veterans in the crowd from all branches of the military as JROTC members carried and saluted the respective flags.

Mr. Will Seaton, Air Force Veteran, served as the guest speaker, sharing stories about his time in active duty along with the service, sacrifice, and the importance of honoring those who have defended our freedoms.

Audience members also viewed a special video message recorded by LHS alumnus Noah Wood, who is enrolled in the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He reflected on his own experiences over the past year and what Veterans Day means to him.

The program served as both a celebration and a reminder of the courage and dedication of those who serve in the United States Armed Forces. LHS is proud to continue this tradition of respect and remembrance, offering students the opportunity to connect with and learn from the veterans who have shaped our nation’s history.
