Students in Lexington High School are turning business ideas into reality. Recently, students in Ryne Bivens’ Business Communication class participated in a “Shark Tank” style project where they designed, marketed, and pitched their original ideas to a panel of “Sharks” made up of teachers and administrators.

Students presented a variety of creative concepts. One group introduced the Ice Buddy, a portable ice maker with a built-in coolant. Another team created Bus Route Live, an app with GPS tracking that allows students to follow their bus in real time. Other ideas included Vogue Vision, a digital closet organizer that tracks clothing inventory and helps select outfits, and Aroma Blast, a product designed to keep gym bags smelling fresh.

Coach Bivens said he was proud of the effort students put into the project. “These students worked really hard preparing their ideas and presentations,” he said. “It was great to see their creativity and confidence as they pitched their products.”
