Students in the Senior Life Skills Class at Lexington High School recently put their creativity and kindness to work by painting colorful tiles for the Neuro ICU at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. The tiles will be displayed throughout the Neuro floor to help brighten the days of patients and their families during difficult and challenging times.
Jordan Azbill, Piper Bebout, Jayvius Edwards, Knox Middleton, and Shemiah Williams, alongside their teacher, Mrs. Jaivel Walker, worked hard to create their individual tiles, putting time, effort, and thought into each design. Through this project, students were able to practice important life skills while also learning the value of giving back to their community.
Their colorful artwork will serve as a reminder to patients and families that their community is thinking of them. The students can be proud of the positive impact they are making—not only through their creativity, but also through their kindness and willingness to help others.
