The best part of the Tireless Teacher Award is the feedback that we get from the student body that we are able to share with our teachers. Reading through them, its obvious that LHS teachers truly love their students and are passionate about their calling in life! Of the hundreds submitted, here are just a few that stand out.

The Youth Health Council will be meeting on Thursday, February 6th during 5th block in Room 3. Students need to check in with their 5th block teacher prior to attending the meeting. This free trip is open to all students regardless of whether or not you are in the Youth Council. See Ms. Lisa Coffman in Room 10 for trip details.

Due to a significant number of students and staff being affected by illness, the Henderson County School District will be closed beginning Wednesday, January 29, Thursday, January 30, and Friday, January 31, to help combat the ongoing health concerns. School will resume on Monday, February 3. Again, this will begin tomorrow morning. All scheduled events for this afternoon and tonight, Tuesday, January 28th, will proceed as scheduled.
We understand how disruptive this is, but with such a large number of absences, it’s necessary to prioritize the health and safety of our students and staff. We encourage everyone to rest, recover, and take the necessary health precautions during this time.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
