CINDY EASON TO JOIN THE LHS COUNSELING STAFF:
We are proud to announce that Cindy Eason will be joining the school counseling team at Lexington High School beginning with the 2023- 2024 school year. Mrs. Eason has served students of Henderson County for over 20 years, first as the school counselor for both South Haven and Pin Oak Elementary Schools for two years before moving to Scotts Hill High School for the past 20 years. Mrs. Eason is a native Henderson countian attending kindergarten at Scotts Hill, attending elementary school at both Sardis and Caywood, and then graduating from Lexington High School. Prior to her work in the school system she worked for the State of Tennessee as a social counselor for 5 years and a vocational rehabilitation counselor for 7 years. She holds a Bachelor's Degree from Lambuth and a Master's Degree in Education, School Counseling from The University of Memphis. Mrs. Eason married her kindergarten classmate and love of her life, Dan, and they live in Lexington. Dan works for the State of Tennessee, but most people know him from his sports photography. Mrs. Eason has two sons, Dustin and Drake, and she is the daughter of Patricia Mitchell and the late John Mitchell. She is excited to continue serving the students of Henderson County at Lexington High School. Welcome to the Lexington High School family!!

LADY TIGERS CLAIM CLASS 3A STATE RUNNER-UP TITLE:
The Lexington Lady Tigers finished the 2023 season in a familiar place… the Class 3A State Championship Game. The Lady Tigers have had the privilege of playing in the state championship game six times in the past ten years, including three years in a row. As always, the Lady Tigers made things interesting by winning the quarterfinal game against East Hamilton on a walk-off stolen base and winning the state semi-final on a grand slam in the 7th inning against Gibbs. In true Tiger fashion, they won the first championship game against McNairy Central before the breaks just didn’t go their way in the “if-necessary” game. After a 6-10 start to the season, the Lady Tigers went on a tear down the stretch going 24-5 to finish as the TSSAA class 3A runners-up! Congratulations to the Lady Tigers, coaches, and their families!!
