Great Pretenders will be on Tuesday, May 13th at 6:00pm. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased from any Yearbook staff member, or Mrs. Bivens in room 20. This is a fundraiser for our students to support the Susan Walker Scholarship Foundation. Mrs. Walker was a devoted teacher at Lexington High School for many years. We remember Mrs. Walker not only as a dedicated teacher but as a guiding light who touched countless lives with wisdom, kindness, and unwavering passion for education. Please make plans to attend this worthy cause!

End of Course testing starts up tomorrow. English 9 and 10 students will take the Part 1: Writing at 8am. Students should report to their 1st block class for attendance. Good luck, Tigers!

Our students showcased incredible talent and determination, competing fiercely in every event. Here’s how they performed:
100m:
Amarion sprinted to an impressive 2nd place in his heat and secured 2nd overall with a new personal record (PR)!
Keagan finished strong, taking 4th place in his heat and 4th overall, also achieving a new PR!
Leila shone brightly, finishing 2nd in her heat.
200m:
Keagan continued to impress, claiming 3rd place in his heat.
Kaydence Glass finished with a solid 2nd place in her heat.
400m:
Arin dominated, finishing 1st in his heat.
Dq followed closely behind, securing 2nd in his heat.
Zayden also excelled, finishing 1st in his heat.
Kadence McKnight finished strong with a 3rd place in her heat.
Annelies showcased her skills, finishing 3rd in her heat.
800m:
Zayden continued his excellent performance, finishing 2nd in his heat and 2nd overall.
Addison led the pack, taking 1st in her heat and finishing 1st overall with a new PR!
Savana finished with a commendable 3rd place in her heat.
Shot Put:
Brayden impressed everyone with a new PR in his throw!

At this meeting, we’ll go over the trip itinerary, travel details, cost, and how to sign up. When you register now, you’ll have 17 months to make affordable monthly payments—making this trip more budget-friendly for families.

This trip is open to all current LHS students AND current 8th graders, who will be LHS sophomores by October 2026. This is a great opportunity to get excited for high school and bond with future classmates.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! LHS Cheer is excited to be bringing back a very popular past fundraiser. Hopper Hat Company & J. Rae Designs will be back at LHS on Wednesday, April 30th from 3:30 - 8 pm. Custom hat bar, charm bar and permanent jewelry!!! There will be PLENTY of sports & Tiger themed patches and charms, but both companies will have all of their many fun, unique charms and patches as well!!! Swing by and make your custom hat and jewelry while supporting your LHS Cheerleaders ❤️🎉🐯

Free Sports Physicals at LHS on Friday, May 9th! Please pick up your physical packet from Nurse Erin, fill out appropriate areas with parent or guardian, and return it to her before May 9th to complete pre-screenings to ensure the day runs smoothly.

The Culinary Arts Club is seeking donations of grocery items to be used for baked goods for upcoming events in May. Items the club can use includes: vegetable oil, nonstick spray, cake mixes, frosting tubs, eggs, powdered sugar, brown sugar, cupcake liners, cream cheese, butter, etc. Community service hours will be awarded for donations. For those needing hours who cannot donate, you can sign up to help work Jam Day/Day of Celebration in May. Items can be dropped off in Room 10.

The Hardin County High School Culture Club invites you all to the 3rd annual Universal Day of Culture Celebration on Saturday, April 19 from 11am - 3pm.
There will be representatives from many countries set up to share facts about their country and culture, a parade at 1pm, possibly a few performances, food vendors selling authentic international cuisine, and vendors selling international crafts.
There will also be passports for children to have signed by each country that they visit.
It is free to attend. Lexington High School students, Carla from Spain and Carl from Germany, are participating.

The Tiger Art Club members worked on community service projects during this month’s monthly meeting, painting a Barbie Photo Booth and signs for a local market to be held in May.

Lexington High School has named Laurel Fitzgerald as its new Volleyball Coach. Fitzgerald succeeds Brad Barger, who retired from volleyball after the past season. Fitzgerald is a 2022 graduate of Union University where she was a member of the Lady Bulldog volleyball team. A 2017 graduate of Franklin (Tn.) High School, Fitzgerald served as the Assistant Coach for LHS this past season. She resides in Lexington and is married to Zach Fitzgerald.

This week, we are EXTRA thankful for our Assistant Principals. Thank you for always going above and beyond to keep our school running smoothly.

Henderson County Schools will be open tomorrow, April 7, 2025.
Students living on an impassable road and unable to attend school will be excused tomorrow. Bus drivers will attempt to pick up as many students as possible using alternate routes. Car riders, please use caution when traveling and do not attempt to drive through flooded or damaged areas. Parents need to contact the school if their child(ren) cannot attend due to road conditions.
After a challenging week of storms and flooding, we look forward to seeing our students back in school. We recognize the difficulties many of our families have faced, and we are committed to providing a supportive and welcoming environment as we return to our regular routines.
