A HUGE Congratulations to the LHS Cross Country teams as they BOTH qualified for the TSSAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS to be held next Friday at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville. The Girls finished 3rd while the Boys finished 4th.




Mrs. Young & Mrs. Lovins Health Science & Medical Therapeutics classes got to visit with Lexington EMS! We learned about career opportunities, emergency medicine, and had the opportunity tour the ambulance.

Congratulations to the LHS Boys XC team as they finished 3rd at the Westview Invitational. Adam Zukowski, Zack Bassham, and Jackson Pace all medaled in the race. In the girls’ race, Millie Davis medaled for the Lady Tigers.


Ms. Lisa Coffman's Culinary Arts Club would like to thank Mrs. Jamie Lindsey for visiting their last meeting as a guest speaker. Mrs. Lindsey shared her cake design knowledge from her previous bakery experience and demonstrated tips for piping cake icing. Student teams got to practice using various tips on their own cakes.





Mrs. Woodall prepared an "Animal Farm" themed break-out box activity in the library for students in Ms. Lidian Lindsey's room that are currently reading the novel.



LHS 2022-23 Beta Sponsors win a National Award! Nicki Johnson, Jaivel Walker, Mary Woodall, and Jenny Gibson were awarded the 2022-2023 National Beta John W. Harris Educator of Excellence award. As recipients of the John W. Harris Educator of Excellence Award, these sponsors earned the following four achievements:
1. They received National Beta School of Distinction status.
2. The received National Beta School of Merit status.
3. They attended a Leadership Summit, State Convention, and National Conventions with their students.
4. They achieved one Service Tier Award.
National Beta has over 8,500 clubs and 20,000 sponsors, however 68 clubs and 179 sponsors earned this award. This is the highest honor you can receive as a sponsor.

Our agriculture classes got a very special "hands-on" lesson on Friday! Mrs. Caitlyn Jones brought two of her horses to school. Our students enjoyed her and Mr. Kyle Evans demonstrating and teaching about these beautiful animals.




A special group from LHS, most of which work the gates at all of our sporting events, were supporting our Pink Out theme yesterday! Thank you for all you do!


Ms. Coffman's Human Studies class recently did a team-building activity lab in which teams competed to build towers made of spaghetti and marshmallows. The activity emphasized group communication, leadership dynamics, collaboration, innovation, and problem solving strategies.





Today, we were honored to welcome Dr. Burton Williams, Chief Executive Officer of the Ayers Foundation Trust, and Mr. Troy Grant, Ayers Foundation's Trust's Chief Scholars Officer, to Lexington High School. They are traveling the state as they go into each of the schools in which they are established. Pictured with them are Recey Williamson - West TN Regional Director, Darren Hart - College Access Counselor, and Fredia Baker - Financial Aid Assistant. We are truly honored to be an "Ayers School."
