Ms. Lisa Coffman has been asked by the Henderson County Health Department to be an advisor for the Youth Health Council. Former LHS student, Amber Staten, is the health educator who is implementing the state's teen health initiative in Henderson County. She spoke to Ms. Coffman's classes about the dangers of vaping and had activities for them to participate in. Being a part of the Youth Heath Council gives our students a-lot of free opportunities and can be of great benefit. See Ms. Lisa Coffman in Room 10 to apply.
Our LHS JROTC students, as part of their Aerospace Science and Science of Flight curriculum, learned about and how to built rockets. On Thursday, they had launch day and fired off at least 100 rockets to observe flight patterns, effects of weather, and flight physics. The kids had a blast and made awesome memories.

Senior Prom is this Friday night! Pictures will start at 6:45 pm and dinner will begin promptly at 7 pm and will end at 8 pm. The senior toast and door prizes will begin at 10:15 pm.
