Due to a significant number of students and staff out for sickness, Lexington High School will be closed the rest of the week: Wednesday 1/29, Thursday 1/30, and Friday 1/31. We hope this break gives everyone a chance to rest and recover.
🏀Our basketball game against McNairy tonight will be played as scheduled.
🐅Homecoming activities and festivities for the rest of the week are postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.
We can't wait to see our students back on Monday, February 3.

Due to a significant number of students and staff being affected by illness, the Henderson County School District will be closed beginning Wednesday, January 29, Thursday, January 30, and Friday, January 31, to help combat the ongoing health concerns. School will resume on Monday, February 3. Again, this will begin tomorrow morning. All scheduled events for this afternoon and tonight, Tuesday, January 28th, will proceed as scheduled.
We understand how disruptive this is, but with such a large number of absences, it’s necessary to prioritize the health and safety of our students and staff. We encourage everyone to rest, recover, and take the necessary health precautions during this time.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

We celebrated our Top 5 Averages for each grade with an Academic Allstars Breakfast. Congratulations to these students for your hard work in the classroom. Also, it's worth noting that the long list of sophomore and junior students were all tied in their grade with a 100 average for quarter 2!

Thank you to Sports Plus for taking care of our athletes and the extra effort to get LHS a red Sports Plus banner for our gym.

FCA will be starting up again for the spring semester. Brother Scott Carter will be speaking tomorrow morning. Come and join us. Everyone is welcome!

Members of the LHS Youth Health Council led students in conducting a Red Sand ceremony to recognize the growing problem of human/sex trafficking around the globe. Students filled sidewalk cracks with red sand to represent the victims who are "falling through the cracks" in our society. The project was done in coordination with the Henderson County Health Department. Sponsors for the club are Lisa Coffman and Amber Staten, public health educator.

The yearbook staff has been working hard finishing up the 2025 Tiger! Don't miss out on this once in a lifetime copy. This is the last week to order a yearbook!

We want to take a moment to brag on these nine students that passed the SDC American History test. Out of the entire state of Tennessee, only 72 students passed. LHS had nine students to pass so we feel like their teachers, Coach Bowman and Mrs. DeWald, deserve a shout-out as well!
Congratulations to Kayla Brown, William Dawes, Niyah Hughes, Alonso Limon, Harold Rivera, Maddox Diffee, Taylor Franklin, Caleb Williams, and JP Shearer.

Congratulations to Hayden Gorski for this prestigious honor.

Seniors don't forget to purchase your prom ticket.

Ken Gluck from the Tennessee Holocaust Commission visited Coach Bowman’s World History class. Mr. Gluck told the class about his father, aunts, and uncle's story about surviving the Auschwitz Death Camp during the Holocaust. Mr Gluck stressed the importance of ending hate amongst all people groups so we can help prevent future genocides or acts of violence.

Mrs. Lovins' classes recently created skin cakes. Check out their cool creations!

The LHS Youth Health Council and Henderson County Health Department is hosting a sand pour as part of the Red Sand Project Friday afternoon during 5th block. If you would like to participate, see Ms. Coffman for more information.
