A group of SHHS students recently participated in a manufacturing industry tour where they visited ARCH Medical Solutions, Falcon Plastics, and Nidec.
Throughout the day, students gained firsthand insight into the world of modern manufacturing—from precision machining and quality control to automation, plastics production, and engineering design. They were able to see how technology, teamwork, and problem-solving play key roles in today’s manufacturing careers.
A special thank-you to Holly Wood with Workforce Innovations, Inc. for helping organize the tours and to Nidec for graciously providing lunch for our group!
It was an eye-opening and educational experience that helped students connect classroom learning to real-world career opportunities.

Event CANCELED for SHHS due to weather predictions.
