Our Mu Alpha Theta students worked so hard along with the math department to help everyone celebrate Pi Day today with matching shirts, Pi-themed competitions, allll the pie during lunch, and a pie-eating relay race to finish us out! Thanks so much to all our volunteers and everyone who donated pies! Congrats to Alex Thurston (1st place in the Pi-ku contest), Caylee Parker (2nd place in the Pi-ku contest), and Kayla Hatchett (1st place in the Pi-Day historical fact contest)!

Wednesday 2/28, juniors will go to Lexington Middle School for an ACT workshop with Dr. Ben Phillips. This is a great chance for students to gain ACT testing skills. We encourage every student to be at school to attend this workshop! Also, students who choose not to attend are not eligible for ACT incentives! Be there!

CONCERN REGARDING NATIONAL DRIVE YOUR TRACTOR TO SCHOOL DAY As part of National FFA Week, students were allowed, with a signed permission slip, to drive a tractor to school as part of "National Drive Your Tractor to School Day." Several students followed the procedure that had been established and drove their tractors. One student chose to ride a lawn mower to school. It is illegal to ride a lawn mower on a public road in the state of Tennessee and, due to this and the concern for safety, the student was instructed by school administration to have a parent come and pick him and his lawn mower up and take him to his truck (which was parked at Ebenezer Church) so he could drive it back to the school. Contrary to what is being circulated on social media, the student was not suspended and did not receive any disciplinary consequences for his action. If anyone has any further questions or concerns, they are encouraged to call the school on Monday between 7:30am and 3:00pm to discuss the matter with school administration. J.
