We appreciate our Board of Education, Director Beecham, CTE Director Lisa Lewis-Evans, Central Office Staff, Parents, Teachers and community stakeholders! Thank you for supporting our students in so many ways all year long! It was an honor to have the opportunity to showcase the Career and Technical Student Organizations and offer a tour of our CTE classrooms on the same night as the November board meeting. Thank you to CTSO members: Mayce, Bella, Jamie, Hannah, Hunter, Adrianna, Sam, Alexis and Kasey for sharing information on each of the five student organizations. You did a great job!

On October 28th Scotts Hill High School FCCLA-FBLA-HOSA & Skills USA members attended the West Tennessee Fall Leadership Conference in Memphis, Tennessee at the Renasant Convention Center. This was a great leadership and networking opportunity for members. CTE teachers Amanda Branson, Paula Hughes, Michelle Harrington and Meggon Woods along with a parent volunteer traveled with thirty-seven students to the event. Thus being one of the largest groups in attendance for this years conference. These students represented our Henderson County Career and Technical Student Organizations well building leadership experience and adding to their résumé. We want to thank everyone who supported this opportunity to allow our members the opportunity to attend!

Happy National Principals Month from the Henderson County School District! A big thank you to Mr. Wood and all the amazing Henderson County School Principals who work hard and inspire our students daily. Your impact is truly important, and your dedication to creating a positive school environment makes a difference in many lives. #ThankAPrincipal #NationalPrincipalsMonth Mr. Adam Wood holds a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Music Education, along with an Educational Specialist degree in School Leadership, dedicating 19 years to education, primarily as a band director in West Tennessee. Currently, in his second year as Principal at SHHS, he cherishes engaging with students and teachers, enjoying the vibrant cafeteria atmosphere, and helping solve problems. As a worship pastor, Mr. Wood is passionate about music, memorizing numerous praise songs and classic ‘90s rock anthems, including singing and playing "Wonderwall" by Oasis at any time. Guided by the belief in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths,’ he strives to create a supportive and connected school environment.
