Our Biology department has been BUSY lately! Mrs. Lyons is new to us this year and has hit the ground running. Here, her students are making a model of a generic cell. They have to include the structure and function of the different cell parts for an animal and a plant cell.

Frog dissection... the NUMBER ONE most anticipated and celebrated activity that takes place in Mrs. Mooney's BIOLOGY classroom. Sadly, this is Mrs. Mooney's last lab to lead, but we wish her well in her retirement! What a great group to round out the year!
Congratulations to Will Christlieb and Alex Marshall for finishing as runners-up in the Region Tennis Tournament. Also, congrats to Luke Ledbetter for making the Freed-Hardeman Tennis Team!!! We're so proud of you all!

Attention SHHS Senior Class! The Ayers Breakfast is tomorrow (May 10th) at 8:30 in the cafeteria. We have a MANDATORY graduation practice immediately afterwards. Also, the Baccalaureate Ceremony is tomorrow evening at 7:00 pm in the gym. Wear your gowns to the Baccalaureate.
SHHS Honors Biology and Honors Physical Science took a field trip last week to the Mesa Trail Alpaca Farm in Jacks Creek, TN.
Thank you, teachers, for all you do for the students of Henderson County. First, as a student, then as a parent and educator, and now as the district director, I have seen firsthand Henderson County’s teachers' incredible impact on our students daily. It is an honor to recognize you during Teacher Appreciation Week. This week we celebrate you and thank God for you!
