Today, we gathered to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. Our Scotts Hill Elementary Honor Guard proudly presented the Soldier’s Cross and performed the Thirteen Folds ceremony.
Our students worked hard for weeks to learn and prepare for this meaningful program with the help of American Legion Post 243. We are so proud of their dedication and thankful to American Legion Post 243 for taking the time to practice with and teach our students. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

While reading Small Steps: The Year I Had Polio, our students have been learning about what it was like to live through polio and how this illness affected people’s lives. Today, we had a very special opportunity to take our learning one step further!
Mrs. Barbara came to visit our classroom and shared her own personal experience of having polio. The kids were able to hear firsthand what it was like to experience this illness, ask questions, and connect what they’ve been reading about to a real person’s story.

These 4th graders were UP for the challenge! 💪 They put their creativity and engineering skills to the test by building the tallest paper tower. There was lots of testing, improving, teamwork, and laughter along the way. ❤️ Who knew a few sheets of paper could turn into so much learning AND fun?
