Henderson County Schools will be open tomorrow, April 7, 2025. Students living on an impassable road and unable to attend school will be excused tomorrow. Bus drivers will attempt to pick up as many students as possible using alternate routes. Car riders, please use caution when traveling and do not attempt to drive through flooded or damaged areas. Parents need to contact the school if their child(ren) cannot attend due to road conditions. After a challenging week of storms and flooding, we look forward to seeing our students back in school. We recognize the difficulties many of our families have faced, and we are committed to providing a supportive and welcoming environment as we return to our regular routines. Notes of Encouragement TCAP is quickly approaching for South Haven students in grades 2-8. We want our students to feel supported and encouraged! This is a simple way for you to share some love with your student. Fill the form out separately for each student you want to send a message of encouragement to. Anyone that is trying out for HCN Cheer, tryout clinic is cancelled for this afternoon due to the possibility of inclement weather. TOMORROW- KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION🚌 Pre-registration for Kindergarten in the Henderson County School District will be Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Bargerton, Beaver, Pin Oak, Scotts Hill, South Haven, South Side and Westover Elementary Schools. All children who will be five (5) years old on or before August 15, 2025 are eligible to register for Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year. Requested documents to bring to your school on March 13, 2025: ● Proof of age such as Birth Certificate, other medical documents ● Social Security Card ● Proof of Immunizations on a Tennessee Certificate of Immunization form from the Health Department or a Physician’s office ● Copy of Physical Examination (within 1 calendar year) ● Two (2) Proofs of County Residence-E911 address (ex. electric bill, water bill, etc.) If you have any questions, please contact Casey McDaniel at McDaniel.casey@hcschoolstn.org.
