There has been an accident involving an overturned fuel tanker at the intersection of Joe Horton Road and 22A. All students at South Haven are safe and are currently sheltered in place as a precaution.
Due to the road closure at Joe Horton Road and 22A, an alternate route for student pickup will be in place this afternoon. Please follow the directions below:
-From 22A (from town): Turn right onto Peckerwood Lane, continue to Joe Horton Road, then proceed to the school parking lot.
-From 22A (from the south): Turn left onto Pollock Road, proceed to the end, turning right onto 200 (at Chapel Hill Baptist Church), then right onto Joe Horton Road, and proceed to the school parking lot.
-Henderson County Schools Transportation Department will make adjustments to bus routes as needed.
All after-school activities at South Haven have been canceled.

The 2025/2026 Henderson County Volleyball Tournament took place today at Lexington High School. The Westover Bears were crowned champions and the Bargerton Rebels finished the season in 2nd place.
