Due to a significant number of students and staff being affected by illness, the Henderson County School District will be closed beginning Wednesday, January 29, Thursday, January 30, and Friday, January 31, to help combat the ongoing health concerns. School will resume on Monday, February 3. Again, this will begin tomorrow morning. All scheduled events for this afternoon and tonight, Tuesday, January 28th, will proceed as scheduled. We understand how disruptive this is, but with such a large number of absences, it’s necessary to prioritize the health and safety of our students and staff. ✂️PRE-K Registration ✏️ All children who will be four (4) years old on or before August 15, 2025 are eligible to apply for PreK for the 2025-2026 school year. Pre-registration for Pre-K in the Henderson County School District will be Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Bargerton, Beaver, Pin Oak, Scotts Hill, South Haven, South Side, and Westover Elementary Schools. Per the VPK grant guidelines, non-income eligible students will be notified mid-September informing them of their waitlist status.
