WESTOVER, TN – Westover School's Assistant Principal, Mr. Paden Buckley, is trading his administrative duties for a sweet challenge this holiday season, competing in the Chamber of Commerce's annual Cookie Eating Contest to raise critical funds for local community needs.

The competition is dedicated entirely to generating essential support for two impactful local beneficiaries: The West family facing medical hardship and the First United Methodist Church (FUMC) Food Pantry.

Raising Funds for Critical Needs

Every dollar donated in support of Mr. Buckley directly contributes to the fundraising efforts and earns him points in the contest. The initiative aims to provide timely assistance to the following groups:

  • The West Family: A family "near and dear" to the Westover School community currently grappling with significant medical expenses. The goal is to ease their financial burden as they head into the holiday season.

  • First United Methodist Church Food Pantry: This organization works tirelessly to feed numerous local families every week, providing vital resources to those experiencing food insecurity in the community.

🌟 How the Community Can Chip In

Westover School is mobilizing its community to rally behind Mr. Buckley and the two causes. Officials emphasize that this is "truly the best time of year to give back," as every donation, regardless of size, makes a difference.

Donations can be made in two simple ways:

  1. In-Person: Contributions can be given to Mr. Buckley or Officer Vineyard during the car line.

  2. Online: Supporters can print and fill out the donation form available on the school's website. The official webpage is www.hcschoolstn.org/o/wes, and donors should look for the designated "snowflake that says support the cookie king!"

In addition to financial support, the school is encouraging everyone to share the news to spread awareness and build excitement for the community event.

"Let's show the Chamber and our entire community the incredible heart of Westover School!" a school representative stated in a call to action. "Go, Mr. Buckley, Go!"

The school is using the hashtags #WestoverStrong, #CookieContest, and #GiveBack to track support across social media platforms.
