Westover School and the Westover community are proud to honor and thank Mr. Steve Crownover for his eight years of dedicated service as a school board member. Mr. Crownover’s connection to Westover is not just professional—it is deeply personal and spans a lifetime.
Raised in the Westover community at Poplar Springs, Mr. Crownover began his educational journey at Westover in the first grade and was among the very first students to attend school here. From those early classroom days to his years of leadership on the school board, his story is truly woven into the fabric of Westover.
Mr. Crownover and his wife, Teresa Wood Crownover, have built a family that continues this strong Westover legacy. Their three children—Jennifer, Lane, and Matthew—all attended Westover, carrying on a proud tradition.
Jennifer is married to Jared, and they reside in Memphis. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Emma and Lucy. Emma is currently a senior at the University of Memphis, and Lucy is a senior at White Station High School.
Lane is married to Mrs. Susan Crownover, our very own Westover librarian. Together, they have a son, Judd, who also attended Westover. Judd is now a sophomore at UT Martin, continuing the family’s commitment to education and excellence.
Matthew is married to Jennifer, and they are the proud parents of Marley and Sutton, both of whom currently attend Westover—bringing Mr. Crownover’s journey full circle as he now watches his grandchildren walk the same halls he once did.
Throughout his eight years of service, Mr. Crownover has been a steady, thoughtful, and devoted advocate for students, staff, and families. His leadership has been guided by a genuine love for this school and a desire to see our entire school system thrive.
We are deeply grateful for Mr. Steve Crownover’s service, dedication, and unwavering commitment to Westover. His impact will be felt for generations to come, and his legacy is one of pride, service, and Bear spirit.
Thank you, Mr. Crownover, for serving our school and our community so well.
