Westover School is proud to celebrate 8th grader Josie Montgomery, who is headed to one of the biggest stages in youth rodeo after earning her place among the nation’s best competitors.

Josie has officially qualified for the Tennessee National Junior High Rodeo Team and will travel to Oklahoma this June to compete in the National Junior High Finals Rodeo (NJHFR).

Josie had an outstanding season at the state level. Alongside her partner, Braxton Hall, she earned top honors in Tennessee competition. Together, the duo captured the Team Roping State Title.

Individually, Josie was named All-Around Cowgirl, recognizing her as the highest overall point earner across all events in the state. She also claimed the Breakaway Roping State Championship, showcasing her talent, dedication, and hard work.

The NJHFR is the largest junior high rodeo event in the world, featuring top contestants from across the United States and several other countries.

Please join us in congratulating Westover Bear Josie Montgomery on this incredible accomplishment and wishing her the very best of luck this summer as she competes on the national stage!
