Summer Camp Rising fourth graders just completed the first week of summer school, filled with fun STREAM activities! This week’s theme was inspired by the book "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds. Students explored dot arrays and created painted math art while learning that “I can make my mark in math!” They also experimented with colors and chromatography and became inventors by designing a new kids’ toy with pom-pom poppers.

Summer Camp STEM Spreading pollen with Cheetos.

Summer Camp Stem 5-28 why do bees buzz? The bee’s wings move at 11,400 strokes per min & creates a true buzz sound. Some bees like bumble bees amp up their buzz to shake loose pollen of certain flowers because some flowers won't even give up their pollen until they are “buzzed.” students useded their “buzz” to try to move pollen studying vibrations, sound & nature.
