Henderson County Schools Names Mrs. Pam Ujcich Interim Principal of South Haven Elementary School
Henderson County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Pam Ujcich as the Interim Principal of South Haven Elementary School. She assumes the role following the appointment of Dr. Stephanie Coffman as the district’s new Director of Special Education.
A familiar and trusted leader within the South Haven school community, Mrs. Ujcich has served as the school’s Assistant Principal for the past several years and brings nearly three decades of educational experience to her new role.
Beginning her 28th year in education, Mrs. Ujcich dedicated 11 years to South Haven Elementary, and nine years as a classroom teacher with Lexington City School System. Throughout her years at South Haven, she has served as a 4th and 5th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher, school counselor, and Assistant Principal, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the academic and social-emotional needs of students.
Mrs. Ujcich’s roots run deep in the South Haven community. She grew up in the area and proudly attended South Haven Elementary, affectionately known as “The Haven,” as a student. Today, she continues that legacy by leading the very school that helped shape her own educational journey.
In addition to her work at South Haven, Mrs. Ujcich has served as Henderson County Schools’ Innovative Schools Project Coordinator, helping lead initiatives that have enhanced learning opportunities across the district. Her work has played a significant role in the development of outdoor classrooms and the expansion of STEM education throughout Henderson County’s elementary schools.
“Mrs. Ujcich has a servant’s heart and a genuine love for South Haven Elementary,” said Director of Schools Danny Beecham. “Her experience, leadership, and commitment to students, staff, and families make her the ideal person to lead South Haven during this transition. She understands the school’s traditions while embracing opportunities for continued growth, and we are excited to see her continue building on the strong foundation already in place.”
Outside of school, Mrs. Ujcich and her husband, Matt, have been married for 34 years and have made Henderson County their home, where they raised their four children. They are active members of Grace Methodist Church, where Mrs. Ujcich teaches the Soul Sisters Sunday School class.
“I am incredibly honored to serve as the Interim Principal of South Haven Elementary,” said Mrs. Ujcich. “This school has always held a special place in my heart—from walking its halls as a student to serving as a teacher, counselor, assistant principal, and now interim principal. I look forward to continuing to work alongside our outstanding faculty, staff, students, and families as we build on the tradition of excellence that makes South Haven such a special place.”
Henderson County Schools congratulates Mrs. Pam Ujcich on her appointment and looks forward to her continued leadership at South Haven Elementary School.
