We would like to thank Nidec Power for their generous donation to our Rebel Library for the second year. Pictured are Mrs. Jessica Gorden and Mrs. Brandy McDaniel, Librarian . This donation was utilized to update our nonfiction collection with an emphasis on careers.

Attendance is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT each of these days. We will test first thing in the morning each day.

HCS BASEBALL TRYOUTS!

As we have rounded this off, 8th finished their Force Unit with a lab on Newtons Laws of Motion by shooting film canister rockets off. Never underestimate the value of labs. Laughs, trial and errors as well as dancing with excitement was rather abundant.

Congratulations to Ralph Scherenberg, Lexie Wood and Anabeth Wood for competing and exhibiting their chickens in the show and sale today at the fair. Just a reminder, 4-H meetings will be starting up this month.

Wednesday is Hat Day! Don't forget your dollar and wear your favorite hat!

Any 5-8th Grader at Bargerton Elem. School is invited to attend our FCA meeting beginning September 16th. They will be every other Tuesday from 7:15-7:45am. Please be at the school at 7am for breakfast.

This morning, our halls were filled with excitement as some of the LHS football players and Coach Mason Taylor welcomed students to school with big smiles and high-fives! 🏈✨ What a great way to show leadership both on and off the field! ❤️🤍

🏃‍♂️ Cross Country season is underway, and we are proud to have our very own Bentley Chaney representing our school on the team. We look forward to cheering you on throughout the season! 👏🎉

Our 5th and 6th graders have been busy engineering cranes during RTI! They are testing weight capacity and making adjustments to their designs to see which crane can hold the most weight.

8th grade science units starts with Force and Motion. While we round out the unit with multiple discussions, worksheets and labs; attached is a few of the best ones. We had a Speed Lab with races and Frictions/static lab covering contact and no contact forces. The final lab for this unit is rockets. Pictures will come soon... #scienceisfun

Is this a science class or baking class??? Either way...it's SCIENCE!!! 7th graders experienced physical and chemical changes with Bread in a Bag experiment in class. Some of the students have never made bread but they love it. All students are getting to take home a final product as well. Yum!!! #handsonlearning #scienceisfun
