A big thank you to Mr. George Milam of Paris Tennessee’s Swamp Creek Pottery for visiting the TigerArt Club during their April Meeting on Wednesday! Mr. Milam brought several finished wares to our classroom and some that were bisque fired, bone dry, and leather-hard. He demonstrated throwing on the wheel and adding texture to the leather-hard pieces. The students were also shown the difference between two clay bodies and got to get their hands dirty, a little. I think you can see that EVERYONE had a blast!!!
