Mrs. Young would like to recognize the students in her Medical Therapeutics class. They worked very hard and have completed their certifications in CPR and OSHA!

Exciting News - LEVEL 5!
We’re thrilled to announce that Lexington High School has been named a Level 5 School by the State Department of Education! A Level 5 school is a school that has achieved the highest ranking for student academic growth and is defined as a “most effective” school whose students are making substantially more progress than the Standard for Academic Growth in one school year. This prestigious achievement reflects our students, teachers, and staff's hard work, dedication, and excellence. It’s a testament to our commitment to providing the best possible education and environment for our school community.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way—this success belongs to all of us! And we’re not stopping here. We have more fantastic news on the horizon, so stay tuned for even more reasons to be proud of our school!

Wear Red Day tomorrow on 11/15: We encourage everyone to wear red on Friday to show their support for a vape-free lifestyle. The Youth Health Council will be providing resource kits to quit on November 19th during the lunch shifts.

We were happy to have Mr. Beecham, Director of Schools, lead our FCA devotional before school this morning.

Beta Show Choir and AFJROTC participated in the Parker's Crossroads Veterans Day event today hosted by the TN Department of Veterans Services. Our school will celebrate with our yearly Veteran's Day Program on Monday, November 11 at 2pm. All veterans are invited to attend.
LHS would like to say congratulations to Zach Bassham on finishing 29th at the state Cross Country meet out of the top 255 runners in the state! He ran the 3.1 course in Hendersonville on Thursday with a time of 16:59:39! Way to go Zach! LHS is proud of you!
The Art 2 students participated in Lexington’s Bicentennial Art Contest. The winners are
2nd Place- Cinthia Parker, 1st Place- Emery Morel, 3rd Place- Akyra Acevedo, Honorable Mention- Caidence Grimsley. Thank you to Dian McGuire and contest jurors for awarding the talent of our students.

Lexington EMS came to visit the Health Science classes! They got to learn about career options in EMS and toured an ambulance.

The Lexington High School Cross Country team ran in the regional meet on Tuesday. The meet was held at Martin Westview and the field was full of the top runners across our region. Both teams fell short of qualifying for the State meet, but Zach Basham did qualify as an individual. He will be running on Thursday in Nashville. Both teams have been very successful this year even though several runners have had ongoing, plaguing injuries. The team showed devotion and commitment during the season, and represented LHS extremely well. When they competed, each member ran as one, competed as a team, and finished as a family. Congratulations on a great season!
Lexington High School would like to congratulate Zach Basham on qualifying for the State Cross Country meet. Zach came in 7th place in the regional meet on Tuesday which qualified him to run in the state meet next Thursday. Congratulations Zach and good luck!!
Mrs. Hunt's Spanish classes kicked off Day of the Dead celebrations making sugar skulls with marshmallows. Students also created cut paper flowers and paper bag piñatas.
Day of the Dead is a well-known holiday in Hispanic Culture where family celebrate the memories of loved ones that have passed on.
