Ms. Lidian's 10th grade class was challenged to write an original poem. Sarah Weatherly and Elli O'Conner chose to write about Lexington High School and the Lexington Community. Both poems showcased the heart and soul of LHS and the Lexington Community. Go tigers!!

Congratulations to Holly Bartholomew for being invited to the TN Report’s Best of the Best Basketball Camp at Green Hill High School. Invitations were sent to the top 120 girls in Tennessee.
Congratulations to the LHS boys’ and girls’ tennis teams. They both picked up another district win tonight against Haywood County. They will have a busy week when they come back from the break with an out of district match with Bolivar and district matches with North Side and South Side.

Cheer Tryout Information
It is Report Card Day in Henderson County!
The LHS TigerArt Club was awarded a grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission to travel to Nashville on Thursday, March 14th. Art students and club members enjoyed the day viewing the art exhibit “Southern/Modern” at The Frist Museum that featured artists from the south inclusive of both masters and contemporaries. The exhibit portrayed life in the south as we know it today and also stories of the past covering segregation, the industrial era, and modern works by artists that studied abroad and brought European movements such as Abstract Expressionism back to the south. The students also took part in the Art Quest interactive studio experience at the Frist and then made their way to the Gulch to spend their afternoon doing a walking tour of murals in the area. Thank you parents and teachers for allowing our students to participate in the enrichment this day provided!

Ms. Lidian's 9th grade English class just finished reading "Animal Farm" by George Orwell, and students are currently studying rhetoric (persuasive techniques) so her students created rhetoric posters advertising "Animal Farm". Their creativity is amazing!
