Just a quick reminder to all parents/guardians that today is Report Card Day in the Henderson County School District!

The Best Buddies Club held their January meeting. Students enjoyed making gingerbread houses with their buddies.

Save the date for the 2024 Great Pretenders! Tickets are $7 and will be sold at the door. There will be a silent auction, and concessions will be available. Great Pretenders is a fundraiser for the Susan Walker Scholarship Foundation. Come enjoy the show and support our students!

Congratulations to these five students that passed the Statewide Dual Credit World History Exam. Passing this incredibly hard test (only 7% passing rate in the state of Tennessee) gives them 3 hours of college credit. Pictured is Elizabeth Mowell, Oscar Diebold, Eli Moling, Noah Wood, and Max Fowler.

Congratulations to Shay Hollingsworth on her recent signing with Trevecca. We wish her best of luck as she continues her softball career at the next level!

We're back from Christmas Break and that means it’s time for another Meet our Team Monday! Each Monday, we are sharing profiles featuring our dedicated faculty and staff who go above and beyond to make our school the outstanding and welcoming community that it is. Our state scores speak to the commitment of our faculty and staff. We want to introduce who each one is as a person. Join us in celebrating our team each week.

The Tennessee Department of Education has officially released the 2022-23 School Letter Grades. We are very proud to report that Lexington High School was awarded an "A" letter grade, scoring a 4.8 out of a possible 5 points. The Tennessee Department of Education states that the new grading system "provides a snapshot of how each school in the state is doing in meeting the state’s expectations for learning, including student achievement and academic growth measures for all schools, as well as a measure of college and career readiness just for high schools." Congratulations to the students, faculty, and staff at Lexington High School for an incredible school year!

Congratulations to these students in Mrs. Rainey's Personal Finance class for passing their Dual Credit exam and earning college credit.

The LHS Yearbook Staff took time to visit with local residents to wish them a “Merry Christmas” and pass out gifts. They also handed out Christmas cards made by Ms. Carillo, Mrs. Brigance, and Mrs. Bivens’ English classes. The Renaissance team donated treats for the residents to enjoy. It was a good day and a team effort!

The LHS Show Choir went to sing at the Retired Teachers Association program yesterday. Thank you to Mrs. Jaivel Walker for all you do for our students!
