Lexington High School is proud to once again host the multi- award winning and New York Best- Selling author, Ruta Sepetys! She will visit us on Monday, December 11. Mrs. Jaivel Walker's Spanish classes have made some amazing Christmas cards using quilling. Quilling is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper shape is manipulated to create designs on their own or to decorate other objects, such as greetings cards, pictures, boxes, or to make jewelry.

Mrs. Jaivel's 3rd block and 4th block classes learned how to make paper flowers a few weeks ago! They are used in many traditional decorations in Latin countries. The next week they learned how to make "papel picado" (cut paper decorations).
