We are so proud of our LHS Beta Club! They represented our school brilliantly at the State Beta Convention. We hope you enjoy celebrating thier accomplishments in this post of photos. A special thank you to all of the parents and chaperones of these students and to our Beta Sponsors. Nicki Johnson, Jaivel Walker, Mary Woodall, and Alan Jones… you are amazing. Thank you for all you do for the students. Chris Burns… way to represent LHS as a State Beta Presidential Candidate! LHS Beta club is the second oldest club at LHS, founded in March of 1937. It's time once again to recognize our wonderful teachers at LHS. This award is a little different because it is based on student nominations. The Renaissance Team will award one teacher the Coveted Tire but ALL teachers get a copy of the nice words of encouragement that students left for them. Students can nominate up to two teachers using the link in their email or by scanning the QR code below. Voting ends Tuesday, Dec 5. Teachers will get a copy of the kind words left by students (with student names removed) and the winning teacher will be presented with the tire later in the week.

Lexington High School students recently visited Jackson State Community College as part of LEAP (Learn and Earn Advancement Program) to explore opportunities in the AMT (Advanced Maintenance Technician) Program. Students in this program receive an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Engineering Systems Technology with a concentration in Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician. This co-op program allows students to attend class 2 days per week and work with local industry partners for the remainder of the week. The group was hosted by current AMT students and LHS alumni Levi Mason and Daniel Powers. The Innovative School Models Grant proudly supports LEAP at both Lexington and Scotts Hill High School!
