🌟 Happy National Custodian Day! 🌟

Today we celebrate and thank our custodians, Mr. David Eason and Mrs. Deborah Rowland, for the countless ways they keep our schools safe, clean, and welcoming every single day. Your hard work often happens behind the scenes, but it makes a HUGE difference for our students, staff, and community.

We appreciate your dedication, care, and pride in what you do—you are truly the heart of our schools. 💙

Please take a moment today to thank our custodians for all they do! 🙌

📣 Exciting News from the SHHS CTE Department! As we wrap up the first 9 weeks of the school year, we're thrilled to share a special announcement from our CTE (Career & Technical Education) department! This year, we've expanded our Digital Media program in partnership with TCAT Crump, giving our students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in media production and content creation. Through this collaboration, students are working directly with our SHHS Media Team to promote school events and student activities. Their impact has already been incredible and we can't wait to see how it grows in the next quarter! 📸 Our media team members have: Captured action shots at sporting events, designed and sold football game programs, created promotional content for social media and supported countless other student achievements. Their creativity, dedication, and teamwork are helping to shine a spotlight on some great things happening at our school and they're just getting started! 👏 Huge thanks to our students, staff, and partners at TCAT Crump for making this possible.

Coach Drake's and Mrs. Walters' Honors Algebra 1 students went on a little "treasure hunt" today! Students were given an aerial map of the school and had to solve a system of inequalities to pinpoint the location of the "treasure" before they could go look for it! We love seeing students engaged in learning with a little friendly competition between classes! A group from Coach Drake's took the W!

Thank you to our Librarian, Ms. Debbie Matheny for welcoming Mrs. Branson’s Family Studies class into the SHHS Library for a tour! Our Human Services Career & Technical Education students learned how to register for an Everett Horn Public Library Card, giving them access to programs like R.E.A.D.S. (Regional eBook & Audiobook Download System). They also received guidance on navigating our school’s online Follett Destiny system to discover and check out AR books right here at THE HILL. This semester, Family Studies students are taking on projects that involve family genealogy research, community historical event documentation, and reading AR books that expand their understanding of family dynamics. Any SHHS student or teacher interested in learning more about this FREE program can simply checkout their Class of 20??- Google Classroom or stop by the library!
